The Department of Broadband Infocommunications and Electromagnetic Theory of Budapest University of Technology and Economics, (BME) and The Scientific Association for Infocommunications, Hungary (HTE) cordially invite you to participate in the 16th IST Mobile and Wireless Communications Summit. The Summit will be held 1-5 July, 2007 at the University Congress Centre of Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary.

The objective of this annual conference is to provide a major European forum for the presentation of recent technical/scientific results in this field. One of its aims is to disseminate progress of the EU Information Society Technology FP6 Research Initiatives towards Mobile and Wireless Communication Systems and Networks. This includes efforts to realise the vision of "Optimally Connected Anywhere, Anytime" supported by all system levels from access methods and networks to service platforms and services.

The 16th IST Mobile and Wireless Communications Summit is an open-call scientific conference. Among others it focuses on the consolidated European approach to serving mobile users with appropriate enablers for applications and services; on technology, systems and services, including location-based services, notably in the field of future standards (e.g. for access) and in international fora (WRC, ITU, 3GPP-IETF, ETSI,) where the issue of systems beyond 3G is addressed; on the European approach regarding the spectrum requirements (terrestrial and satellites) in the evolution beyond 3G and a clear European understanding of the novel ways of optimising spectrum usage when moving beyond 3G.

Keynote lectures, moderated executive panels and technical sessions of selected papers and the expected truly international attendance of 500-600 delegates encourage the organizers to invite you to highlight your advanced thinking, activities and services. Social events will also support to make 16th IST Mobile and Wireless Communications Summit a unique opportunity for manufacturers, suppliers, telecommunications network operators and service providers to directly interact with researchers, developers, consultants and regulators.
